a Week without a Car

I have been without a car for a week now.  Not by choice.  One more day and I will have it back.  The good?  Lots of fresh air and pushing the stroller

We went to the park several times where Cheeky Monkey has now mastered the little kid slide.

He complained about the garbage on the ground

Tried out the binoculars

and climbed like a monkey

10 Minute Toy Bag

Something every little boy needs... a toy bag.

I'm a big fan of refashioning/upcycling.  Last month I turned hubby's Sunday morning sweatshirt into Lazy Sunday pants for Cheeky Monkey and Baby Bunny.

Here it is flat - you can see that it's the hood with the seam sewed shut.   I also cut a hole in the drawstring casing to pull the string through so he would have 2 handles.   Since it's a 10 minute toy bag, I didn't spend the time to applique the word "Toys".  A couple of zig zags and you're done.   It's not perfect but he likes it and that's what matters.

Open it up and there's enough space for some toys.

Easy to close and use!

Tie it up and go!

Nursing Cover Completed!

Kids slept for 2 hours yesterday - yayayayayay!!
This means I was able to start and finish the nursing cover.

Here it is all folded up
Hanging on the door knob
This is the pattern (I love it!  but it's a gift and not for me)
I also packaged up a Sophie Toy Leash to go along with the cover.
