My City: Ontario Science Centre

This week we went to the Science Centre.  After going to Science Class, Cheeky Monkey was really excited to be going to the Science Centre.

Lots of cool things to read about and touch on the way in

GPS station - definitely wasn't an exhibit when I was growing up

Some very old trees!

The Weston Innovation Centre is really cool for kids.  Baby Bunny and I took a picture and it was "painted" on the big screen below.  The kids were in LOVE with the machine that shoots up little pieces of paper.  I'm sure there's a more scientific name for this thing...

Special exhibit

One of these guys is named Fred

In the old Science Arcade

Can you open the gate?

Tornado!

I love this little car @ KidsPark

Because the kids love to go grocery shopping at their height level.  The only rule is that you have to put the food back.  Feel free to put on an apron and get behind the register.  The kids can punch in how much food should cost and the register drawer actually opens.  Lots of fun here until a gaggle of bigger kids showed up.  Baby Bunny is really oblivious to all but Cheeky Monkey noticed the kids.

Future of Food?

Where we would be without one of these machines?

Maybe it's better not knowing...

The Sweetest Kiss of all...

Baby bunny used to give us nose kisses.  But yesterday, he started giving us lip kisses!

Cheeky Monkey was in the bedroom with Baby Bunny and there was a lot of giggling going on.  When I went into the room he said, "Baby Bunny gave me a kiss!"  Baby Bunny then gave all of us a kiss (with sound effects!)

It was the cutest thing I've ever seen.  Kids are the best!!!

Here is a pic of the two of them.  Baby Bunny insisted on wearing Cheeky Monkey's backpack.  Look how tall Monkey is now.  He's such a big boy!

Recipe: Chocolate and Yogurt Pops

I started making "choc chop woo woo"s for Cheeky Monkey when he was about a year old.  This little treat bought me at least 5 min of silence while he enjoyed his little frozen yogurt treat.  After he turned 2, I added some chocolate pudding as an extra special treat.

Now he can pronounce it chocolate yogurt but it was always so cute to hear him call chocolate "choc chip" and yogurt "wo wo".

I recently started giving these to Baby Bunny and now at lunch and dinner, we are enjoying the sound of SILENCE while the kids enjoy their frozen treats.   It doesn't matter if it's summer, fall, winter, spring... kids love it any time of year.

Healthy and Yummy!

Skill Level: Easy

Items Needed:
Popsicle sticks
Little cups (like the ketchup cups at fast food joints)
Yogurt
Chocolate Pudding

Average Time: 5 minutes to make, 1-2 hours to freeze

Arrange your cups on the table.  Put a tsp of chocolate pudding in each cup.  I try to keep a little bit in the cup so that I can give the left over pudding to Cheeky Monkey.

Put some yogurt on top of the chocolate pudding.

(Cheeky Monkey is trying to steal the pudding!!!)

Doesn't matter which kind of yogurt you use.

Insert the popsicle sticks

Pop them in the freezer for an hour or two (or until frozen)

Store in a freezer bag and you're done!!
