End of the Baby Phase

I'm not sure whether to cry or jump for joy.  Today we got rid of Baby Bunny's crib.

He slept in it about 3 times.  I'm so happy to have the space and to have a life back, but sad that this signals the end of the baby phase for my family.  

Cheeky Monkey didn't really sleep there either.  I don't know why we kept it.  It came from Grandma's house and sat in our house now for about 3 years.

Here he is... more interested in the lamp than his crib.

Toddler Backpack - Car

I've been working on a custom backpack for little G.   I love making things for little boys.  It all started out with an email request for a custom order.  G's mom and I chatted via email and I sent her sketches.  It's a great feeling when you make something for someone and they really like it!

Scarborough Ribfest 2011

This year is the 10th annual Scarborough Rotary Ribfest at Thomson Park.

This means we are vegetarians the week before and the week after!

Every year our friends come down and over the 4 day weekend, we indulge in ribs, pulled pork sandwiches and other treats.  When it's all done, we say "Never again!"

We'll be back again next year.

These were from Bad Wolfe BBQ.  We chose this place because we thought it was the place with the good cornbread.  Whoops... turns out that a lot of them had cornbread.  Wasn't a fan of this one.  Too greasy.  

These guys are new to the scene.  When I saw this sign, I thought "Vegas" and because of the deep fried Mars Bars.

The usual cotton candy guy was not longer at Candy World

Cheeky Monkey wanted the Tropical Pop but couldn't understand why the seller kept saying Robo Pop. 

So he had a soft serve cone instead.

Well, I had most of it since he abandoned his ice cream in favour of the park.

You can always count on the Toronto Firefighters to bring their truck! 

The other kids are hanging out at the back.  L'il guy wanted to sit in the front again.

Thirsty Cactus had a pig ride.

It works!  Cheeky Monkey had a lot of fun riding it.  Baby Bunny cried.
