It's September already!

The days are motoring over here! September always feels like a blur because of labour day weekend + baby bunny's birthday + the start of school.

Bunny is no longer a baby but a big boy!  My Mom made him a minion cake (we finally watched DM1). 

I made a ton of cookies.

I also sewed a Happy Birthday banner.

We got new windows to replace the really old ones at our new house (hoping this is the last major home reno).

I was super diligent about packing kiddo's first school lunch.  Obviously I gave him too much food.  I just didn't want him to go hungry.  Well, it turns out that kiddo gets only 1 recess + 1 lunch so most of it came back.  I was very proud that he ate his veggies and fruits instead of the cookies!

There's probably a ton of stuff I've forgotten but between doing our own home renos + sewing more custom backpacks + taking care of the kids, it's all a blur!

We're on Disney Baby!

Some of you may know that I've had to stop writing for the past 8 months because we sold our home, bought another one, moved in with our parents, and then finally made it into our home.

Recently, I was contacted by a blogger from Disney Baby, asking if she could feature my Canada Post Mailbox made from a Pampers box on the Disney Blog.  Uh... that's a no-brainer.  Of course!

I'm back!!! Sort of... (Toddler Backpack)

I'm back!!!! Well, not entirely but I do have a sewing room again and I have started some sewing.  

If this is the first time you've visited my blog, I'll give you the 5 bullet update: 

1. We moved out of our house
2. We moved in with our parents
3. We moved out of their house
4. We moved into our new house
5. We are overwhelmed with the volume of work that needs to be done with the home

We're starting to adjust to the new place.  In the day, I take care of the kidlets and at night, we work on the home.  The bright spot in my day is that I have a dedicated sewing room now WITH A DOOR!!!   My last room was an open room which I shared with the camping gear and our elliptical machine.  Needless to say, I feel quite at peace in my room as I am surrounded by fabric and my supplies.  I love it!!! 

Alright, this post is supposed to be about a toddler backpack so here are the pics!  I forgot to take a pic of the back of the bag and the handle but if you scroll through the "toddler backpack" posts, there are plenty of pics there too.

I always send the mock up first for approval...even if I've done the design before (like here)

No changes?  Then I applique the design and sew in the lining.
