Toaster Oven Challenge: Chickpea Popcorn

In our house, roasted chickpeas are called "chickpea popcorn". It sounds so much more snack like and the kids love it. This is the perfect recipe for a toaster oven. All you need is a can of chickpeas, a pinch of salt, 1-2 tbsp of olive oil and some paprika.

Make sure you rinse the chickpeas and pat dry with a paper towel.  Otherwise, the chickpeas won't come out crunchy

Drizzle with olive oil and then add your seasoning.  If I'm making this for me and hubby, I'll use cayenne pepper for a bit of kick.

Bake in the toaster oven at 300F for 50 minutes.  Let it cool and eat!

It's been 2 months since I've actually used my oven... and I don't miss it at all!

  1. Collect a toaster from ovens can match a full-sized oven. When organizing a large supper, such as for instance for any occasion collecting, matching stove time may be difficult. There is just therefore significantly tray room accessible, and it usually may seem like many recipes have to make at the exact same time. Applying a toaster oven for something such as meal sheets assists the make make every thing in reasonable fashion. Toaster ovens could also perform together with microwaves to brown or clean food following it's mainly cooked.

  2. A toaster is a kind of mini-four that is not necessarily suitable for making slices of bread. Indeed, it takes more space, costs more, consumes more electrical energy while being slower than a toaster. In addition, the slice of bread is not evenly heated with most models.

For all these reasons, the toaster 2 slots or 4 slots is widely more common. It is a cheap, fast, economical and efficient device, often designed by the USA companies like Cuisinart or Hamilton. I advise you to focus on Made in the USA when possible and avoid poor quality devices made in China.
